<2> Iran War: Devastating Attacks on Healthcare Facilities in Iran and Lebanon, WHO Reports
<3> The Unrelenting Conflict: A Catastrophic Toll on Human Life
The ongoing conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran has taken a devastating turn, with the World Health Organization (WHO) reporting that 38 healthcare facilities in Iran and Lebanon have been attacked or forced to close. This alarming trend has resulted in a staggering number of casualties, with thousands killed and injured across the region.
The escalation of violence began on 28 February, when the US and Israel launched a series of missile strikes on Iran, killing Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei and hitting a girls’ school, resulting in at least 165 deaths. In response, Iran launched retaliatory attacks on Israeli and US military bases located in nearby countries.
