The study, which was published in the journal Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, analyzed data from over 1,000 participants in the U.K. The researchers used a comprehensive personality assessment tool to evaluate the participants’ levels of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience.

The study’s findings were striking. The researchers discovered that individuals who scored high on extraversion and low on agreeableness were more likely to support war and aggression.
